The Ibstock New Sandhurst Brick is an exceptionally popular clay facing brick known for providing a rustic, traditional appearance to any building project. Manufactured by Ibstock at their Parkhouse works, this stock brick is used in domestic housing, extensions, and local renovation work. It features a distinctive orange-multi colour blend, pairing rich orange-red base tones with subtle darker flashes and dark spotting across its surface. The sand-faced, lightly textured finish softens its overall look, making it look naturally weathered right out of the pack.

From a technical perspective, the New Sandhurst is a frogged stock brick measuring the standard 215mm x 102.5mm x 65mm. It is built to stand up to the volatile British climate, featuring an F2 frost-resistance rating—meaning it can withstand severe winter freeze-thaw cycles without crumbling. It possesses a high compressive strength of 15 N/mm² and a typical water absorption rate of around 15%. This combination ensures strong structural integrity and long-lasting durability. When installing, bricklayers always recommend mixing from a minimum of three separate packs on-site to blend the multi-toned hues and avoid uniform patches on the finished wall.
