The Ibstock Mellow Ashridge Stock Brick is a premium clay facing brick that expertly blends traditional charm with modern performance. Manufactured by Ibstock at their Parkhouse works, this brick is highly regarded for its warm, multi-tonal red appearance and subtle sand-faced finish. The gentle variations in tone and texture give it an authentic, handcrafted aesthetic that mimics classic, time-worn masonry. This makes it an ideal choice for heritage restorations, extensions on period properties, and new builds aiming for a timeless, characterful façade.

Structurally, the Mellow Ashridge is a frogged stock brick with a standard 65mm depth. It delivers exceptional durability and weather resistance, boasting a compressive strength of 15 N/mm² and a water absorption rate of approximately 13%. Designed to withstand the unpredictable UK climate, it offers excellent frost protection and requires virtually no long-term maintenance. With a density of roughly 1700 kg/m³, it also contributes positively to a building's thermal mass and acoustic insulation. To ensure the most natural distribution of its beautiful red-multi tones and avoid colour banding, builders typically mix bricks from at least three different packs during installation.
