How the Carat Direct Rainwater Harvesting Package Works

Rainwater is collected from the property's roof and directed through downpipes into an underground storage tank. Upon entry, the water passes through an integrated filter to clear out any debris.

System operation is managed by two main components:

• Mains Water Top-Up Unit: Located inside the property, this unit ensures a continuous water supply. Guided by a float switch, it automatically tops up the underground tank with mains water whenever rainwater levels run low.

• Pressure-Sensitive Submersible Pump: Positioned directly inside the storage tank, this pump activates automatically the moment a downstream valve or tap is opened. Once the tap is closed, the system quickly repressurises, cutting power to the pump until water is needed again.
