1000kg will cover approximately 10m2 at 50mm thick.

Providing the 10mm gravel available in your delivery area is suitable for your personal taste (see further details below), it can be ideal for use as a decorative gravel for drives and gardens. 20mm is the recommended size for driveways as 10mm shingle has a tendency to get stuck in car tyres.

Around the garden, gravel/shingle is most often used for decorative purposes, around flowerbeds, in pots and on paths where it provides a comfortable walking surface. It is also used as a good weed suppressant as it blocks the weeds from coming through. Other uses include drainage pipe bedding and for mixing with sand, cement and water to provide a smoother finished concrete.
