MF5 50mm x 3600mm Ceiling Section

The MF5 ceiling section is one of the components that make up the MF ceiling system, which is a suspended ceiling system that is used in both commercial and domestic applications. The Metal Furring ceiling system is designed to provide a level, sound-absorbing ceiling that is also fire-resistant when used within the correct system.

MF5 Top Hat is a metal ceiling section that is used as secondary support under the MF7 Primary Support Channel. It is made of galvanized steel in the form of a 'top hat' section that provides a smooth surface for plasterboard to be fixed to.

The MF5 ceiling channel is installed perpendicular to the MF7 channels, and it is secured in place with MF9 clips. The spacing of the MF5 metal will vary depending on the load that the ceiling is designed to support. It is worthwhile to contact your architect or structural engineer to make sure the spacings are correct for the loadings.
