Square edged (S/E) plasterboard, are a versatile building material widely used for creating interior plasterboard walls and plasterboard ceilings. It consists of a core of calcium sulfate dihydrate (gypsum) sandwiched between two sheets of recycled paper. The Ivory face paper should be decorated with brown paper on the back

Suitable for most applications where normal fire, structural and acoustic levels are specified. Perfect for direct decoration or the application of Thistle plaster finish.

Plasterboard use:

Plasterboard 1800 x 900 is typically used when a smaller sized board is required as they are much lighter and easier to handle than the larger format boards.

Plasterboard ceiling

For use on both flat ceilings and sloped ceilings, plasterboard 1.8 x 0.9 can be used as just a basic covering to be plastered or decorated or can form part of a full system to insulate and soundproof ceilings in conjunction with other insulation materials. When a ceiling needs lowering, this can be achieved in conjunction with products from the MF Ceiling range.

Plasterboard wall

The most common uses are on a partition wall which is formed with timber such as CLS or metal studwork or on the inside of an exterior wall where they are fixed using a bonding adhesive.
